Student Goals
In my studio I will prepare you to be a well rounded musician, which will consist of your performance ability and your understanding of music theory and analysis.
- To be able to read music (note names and dynamics)
- To be able to perform a piece you have prepared successfully
- To show continuous improvement from previous lessons
Voice Student Expectations
I require each of my students to have a well rounded repertoire. Each of my students will have:

1 Classical / art song
- An example would be a folk song, or a classical piece in English OR another language, the basis of healthy and long lasting singing is good technique, THEN we can sing everything healthily.

1 Musical theatre song
- Songs from musicals, Broadway

1 Pop/Jazz/modern song
- Sing your favorite song.
Must Haves:
- Black binder – so that your music repertoire is hole punched and organized (for voice students)
- Water bottle
- Assignment notebook – This can be a separate notebook or loose leaf in your binder, we will use this to write down assignments and goals or notes to remember
Piano Student Expecations
- Please come prepared each week with each of your piano books
- Please come with a notebook to write your assignments down on, a folder with looseleaf can also be an option
- Bring positivity! Learning to play piano is so exciting!
Cancellations
Please aim to cancel with 24 hours notice, therefore you will still be able to make up the missed class at a later date.
